Holidays are over and we’re slowly getting back in the swing of things. Like every summer I give myself the gift of unplugging and being offline. I truly feel refreshed, renewed, and recharged. Away from home in my favorite place gives me a whole lot of peace and contentment.

Let’s see how long it will last and when the sparkle starts to fade and I will daydream about our next getaway. 😉

Italy always brings me so much joy, it’s almost therapeutic and feels wonderfully inspirational. This beautiful country truly has such a huge variety to offer: The first week we relaxed at the beach or the pool, the second week we explored one of the most beautiful cities in the world: Florence … and on our way back to Germany we took a longer stop in South Tyrol to enjoy the soaring peaks of Tre Cime di Lavaredo and picturesque emerald lakes such as the Lago di Braies. A little Italian magic is always a good idea.

I am so grateful for all the time I got to spend with my favorite humans, and all the lessons I am still learning about appreciating and living in the here and now, and always finding joy in the midst of these wild times we are living in.

Hope you also got a chance to unplug this summer in your favorite place in this world and fill up your tank. Taking a rest is so powerful, it will take you anywhere you need to go with a feeling of being in the flow and ready to take on anything the next few months will throw at you.

I will be back soon with a few impressions of Florence and South Tyrol. Our first week at the beach I obviously took my recovery time quite serious as I almost took no pictures at all. 😉
